WOW!
What a way to end the season! We ran the "North Texas Asphalt Championship
Race" at Redriver Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas on Oct. 16th & 17Th. Qualifying was Saturday night along with 2
Qualifying Features to determine the starting line up for Sundays 50 lap Feature.
I turned the quickest time
with a 14.70 lap, winning my first career pole on Asphalt. Then I went on to lead every lap of the
first Qualifying Feature for the Victory.
Jay went on to win the second Qualifying Feature and pulled off a Clean Sweep on Saturday
night for our Team.

Returning to Thunder Hill Raceway we had high hopes of doing better. My car was pushing
up the track like a snow plow. Tried some changes for qualifying, but nothing helped, turned a slow time.
Decided to make major changes for the feature, changed springs and put it on the scales at the track.
It was a big race night at THR, pits were full of cars. Jay had his best qualifying run this year.
Jay had a time of 16.096 great job. He out qualified me, I had a 16.313.
The race was caution filled, lost count of how many cautions there were. My car was much better
after the changes. Everytime there was a wreck or spin,
it seemed like it was right in front of Jay and I. Jay's car was overheating from damage on the nose,
I had a flat from contact. We both lost time in the pits. The race was shorten to 35 laps instead
of 50 due to all the cautions and wrecks. Jay finished 14th, 4 laps down and I finished 15th, 5 laps down.
we both had minor damage to the cars. You can see pictures from THR below.
Next and last Race of the year will be "The North Texas Championship Race" at Redriver Speedway Oct. 16 &
17 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
See ya at the track,
Marc

1st time at San Antonio Speedway, Qualified 17th in a field of 21 cars. Finished
12th in the 50 lap Feature. Had a great time, still running about .90 seconds off the leaders times. Need
to find at least 1 second more from the car and the driver. Thanks to My Spotter, Billy O'Brien, my crew Ben
Reeder, Tammie & Jay. Brought it home without a scratch. San Antonio Speedway is one fast half mile track.

3rd PLACE IN THE FEATURE AT RED RIVER SPEEDWAY
8/06/04
Decided to go to Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls Texas Friday August 6th to race in the asphalt modified division there. We had tested there earlier in the year. Just took my car as Jay's car did not match their rules close enough. Had a great time on the little 1/4 mile asphalt track. I had to start at the back of the heat and feature as the track goes by point average. Had 2 solid runs, in the heat we finished 2nd and in the Feature we finished 3rd. Thanks to the promoter, Mike Cooper for inviting us out and we will plan a return trip in the near future.

Second visit back to Thunderhill Raceway for the "Texas Asphalt Modified Series" (T.A.M.S.) race on July 10th. Getting Faster, picked up .50 seconds over last time we qualified at THR running a 15.33, qualified 18th. Started moving up when green flag dropped. Car was loose and I did a solo spin off turn 2 without hitting anything. Restarted on the rear, had moved back to just out side the top ten, 11th, when I got tagged in turn 1 and spun with 2 other cars. On the restart TAMS Officials gave me back my running position of 11th. But when the green flag flew there was a very bad vibration in the rear of the car. Took car to the pits on lap 26, rearend grease was poring out on the ground. Something in the reareand broke, will fix and try again.
Jay was running good in the feature also when a fuel/carb problem put him out for the night 31 laps into the race. Even though we didn't take the checkered flag we finished 16th and 17th in the race.

Our first race at Thunderhill Raceway for the "Texas Asphalt Modified Series" (T.A.M.S.) race on June 19th. My qualifying time was a 15.83, still I stated near the back, 24th and Jay started 25th. I had a blast for the first 40 laps, moving all the way up to 8th place on the lead lap with the leaders with 10 laps to go. Then it happened, got tagged in turn 1 causing me to spin and bring out the yellow flag. The rear bumper was rubbing the tire, came to the pits, the crew worked hard getting the bumper pulled off. I returned to the track 6 laps down and went on to finish 12th on the track, but I was penalized for jumping on a restart and moved back to finish 13th, shame on me. Not bad considering what happened.
Jay stayed out and ran smooth laps to finish 10th, 4 laps down. Both car took the checkered flag and drove to the pits. Good finish for both cars considering 25 cars took the green flag.

We made it to our first "Texas Asphalt Modified Series" (T.A.M.S.) race at Houston Motorsports Park Saturday March 27th. Had New Car Blues , Had rear suspension problem during pactice. Finally got in 3 good practise runs, qualified for the feature. But got only a few laps into the feature when the rear suspension broke again. It was probably a good thing, the brakes were not right and had trouble getting into the turns. Everyone made us feel real welcome to the series. Will fix and refine car and try again. And we will continue work on Jay's #98 to get ready to race.

Work continues on the both cars for 2004 "Texas Asphalt Modified Series" (T.A.M.S.). Had to make a number change due to numbers being registered in 2003. There was a number 14 already in the TAMS Series last year. I applaud the TAMS Officials for taking care of the people who race their Series. But due to that we had to change Marc's car number to number 19, Jay's will remain number 98.
19 & 98, has a good ring to it!

Work has started on the new chassis for 2004 "Texas Asphalt Modified Series" (T.A.M.S.). Had a little down time when Marc tried to cut his thumb off with the chop saw. Marc recovered and He and Jay are hard at work to get 2 cars completed for the 2004 season.
Below are some pictures of the work being done. Besure to check back for updates on the progress of both cars. Jay and Marc are very excited about the 2004 season.
