2010 RACE SEASON ENDS WITH 4TH PLACE FINSH
Fast Fuel Topless Modified #14

Lake County Speedway
Jordan Page Winter Nationals
October 22nd & 24th, 2010

Ardmore, OK. Jordan Page Winter Nationals was originally schedule for 2 nights, Friday Oct. 22nd & Saturday night Oct. 23rd. Friday nights races ran as scheduled, but when rain storms moved in on Saturday, the second race night was moved to Sunday at 3pm.

1st night at Lake Country Speedway, Ardmore, OK Marc would finish 3rd in the qualifying heat and 4th place finish in the Feature. "The car ran great," stated Marc, "track was a little wet and slick, but happy overall with the car."

2nd race day, Sunday, no one knew what to expect after the rain on Saturday. The track crew had packed the track before the rain so all the water would run off and not soak in. "And it really worked!" Marc would say later. "I have never seen a track that dusty."

Marc would run 3rd in the qualifier again on Sunday. On a very dry and dusty track Marc would manager a 4th in the Feature. "Just to finish was great" Marc would say after the feature. "With sun and all the dust you were driving blind about 75% of the race, very happy with a 4th place finish and look forward to this series in 2011."

Driving the #114 mod of Chuck Weaver. The night stated out with fuel/Carb problems. Pulled out of heat as car was loading up with fuel. Worked on a vacumn leak that was discoveried in the base of carb.

Started the back of Feature, carb was stll not right but better. Moved all the way up to 5th when the rear track bar bracket moved causing rear end to shift to the left. Driveshaft started rubbing and sparks were flying. Had to take car to the pits before more damage was done. Got credit for 11th place. Thanks to Jay Guthrie fo coming out and helping on the car.

Driving Chuck Weaver's #114 Modified

July 17th 2010
85 Speedway, Ennis, Texas

85 Speedway May 1st, 2010

Long time friend Chuck Weaver called for Marc to drve his IMCA Modified #114 at 85 Speedway and Marc jumped at the chance. Marc at one time drove for Chuck's Dad, Charlie Weaver, and now is given the opportunity to drive for his son, Chuck.

Having never even seen or sat in the #114 modified made for some challenges. "We had to raise the steering wheel in the car,"Marc said, Car being built for Chuck, weighing about 140lbs and Marc weighing about 200lbs did make for a tight fit!

In the Heat Race Marc locked bumpers with another car at the start line, slowed and finaly got unlocked with out bringing a caution out. but, by that time he had fell back to last."The car in front just didn't go at the green, we locked bumpers when I got into his rear bumper at the start " Said Marc. Managed to finish heat in 7th in the Heat.

In the 17 car 20 lap Feature, again trouble at the start. This time carburator problems. Car stalled and stubbled at the drop of the green. Marc managed to get car off track just as a yellow flag flew for another unrelated incident on the track. Once in the Pits, Chuck went to work, pulled hood off and started working on carberator. Quick work by Chuck had Marc back on the track, coming on to track just as the green flew about 6 car lenghts behind the entire field.

With changes Chuck had made before the feature and the carb fix, the car came to life! Marc caught the field and started passing 2 to 3 cars a lap! "Car was a rocket off the turns, great froward bite!" Marc would say after the race. Marc moved all the way to 4th place when a caution came out. On the restart Marc mantained 4th. With only 4 laps to left. Marc got in a little to deep in to turn one, looped the car and had it saved, was heading in the right direction when a car from he outside ran over the right front breaking the upper ball joint.

Marc said."It was my fault, trying to get a little more at he end. thought I had it saved, then got hit but, man the car was awesome, that's the most fun I have had in a long time passing cars! I want to thank Chuck Weaver for the oportunity and would take it again if asked!"
With only 4 laps left they were credited with an 8th place Finish
